About Shaan

I am an enthusiastic Chemistry tutor with over 6 years of experience helping young students explore science for the first time. I hold a BSc in Chemistry with Environmental Science, which has helped me connect chemistry with the world around us. My main focus is teaching middle school students the basic ideas of matter and chemical reactions.

I enjoy introducing concepts like atoms, molecules, and mixtures in ways that are easy to understand. These ideas become much clearer when students can see them through simple examples. Learning chemistry should feel exciting, not confusing.

I often include safe home experiments and fun demonstrations in my lessons. These activities allow students to watch chemical reactions happen right in front of them. Seeing science in action makes a big difference.

I also use everyday examples such as cooking food, baking cakes, or cleaning surfaces. These familiar situations help students realise that chemistry is happening around them all the time. Science suddenly feels closer to home.

Over the years, I have helped many young learners develop curiosity and confidence in science. My lessons are designed to be interactive, engaging, and easy to follow.

Together we will discover the magic of chemical transformations and better understand the amazing world around us.

About the lesson

My approach to teaching Chemistry focuses on simplifying organic chemistry concepts. I break complex topics into smaller steps so students can follow them easily. This method builds confidence and understanding.

Students learn key areas such as organic nomenclature, functional groups, reaction mechanisms, and structural isomerism. These topics explain how carbon compounds are structured and how they react.

I guide students in analysing molecular structures and identifying patterns in reactions. Understanding these patterns helps students solve chemistry problems more effectively.

I provide consistent feedback and practice questions. This allows students to see their improvement clearly.

Students who are interested in environmental science and marine ecosystems often find organic chemistry very relevant. Many biological and environmental processes involve carbon molecules.

My goal is to help students develop strong organic chemistry skills. Together we will build a reliable foundation for organic synthesis.
