About Maranda
I am a dedicated English teacher who believes learning should feel clear, supportive, and even enjoyable. I work with students in grades 6 through 10, helping them strengthen their reading, writing, grammar, and test-taking skills. I am an experienced English teacher who works with middle and high school students in reading, writing, grammar, spelling, and test preparation. My goal is not only to help students improve academically, but also to build their confidence so they feel capable and successful in their learning.
Each lesson is structured but supportive, beginning with a quick review, followed by clear instruction, guided practice, and time for students to apply what they have learned. I tailor each session to meet your child where they are, whether they need extra support, help staying on track, or an added challenge.
What sets me apart is my classroom experience and my ability to make concepts easy to understand without overwhelming students. I focus on creating a calm, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and growing.
My lessons are ideal for students in grades 6 through 10 who need support in reading comprehension, grammar, spelling, or test prep. I partner with parents to help students not only improve their skills, but also feel more confident and prepared in school.
