About Ryan
I am a Computer Engineering student at McGill University with a demonstrated track record in mathematics and technical education. As a current Teaching Assistant and a freelance engineering tutor, I combine rigorous academic training with practical teaching experience.
My technical foundation spans calculus, linear algebra, discrete mathematics, and multivariable vector calculus, subjects I apply daily in hardware design and embedded systems projects. This means I don't just teach formulas; I explain the underlying logic and real-world applications that make concepts stick.
I specialize in helping students master high school mathematics (Algebra through Pre-Calculus), Calculus (single and multivariable), and SAT/ACT Math preparation. My approach prioritizes deep understanding over memorization. I work systematically to identify conceptual gaps, rebuild foundational knowledge, and develop problem-solving frameworks that students can apply to novel situations.
My students consistently report increased confidence, stronger exam performance. I'm patient, detail-oriented, and committed to meeting each student where they are while pushing them towards mastery.
Whether you're aiming for a perfect SAT score, struggling through Calculus, or building a strong foundation in mathematics, I'm here to help you succeed.

Math isn't about memorization. Seeing the big picture as to why equations are solved a certain way, or how they are used, can significantly help a student grasp the topic at hand. These lessons give a rich foundation into why the math works. Lessons will follow the needs of the students. Each lesson will begin with diagnosing a specific area of improvement, introducing a question to motivate the need for that topic, a deep dive into the application/solving the question, then guided practice problems for the student to solve on their own. These lessons are for students looking to strengthen their understanding of school topics or prep for SAT/ACT/AP Exams.
