About Lila
With over 10 years in tutoring and a MSc in Supramolecular Chemistry, I specialise in the chemistry of materials that define our modern world. My passion lies in polymers, composites, and molecular engineering. Lessons draw from real-world examples, from flexible electronics to medical-grade polymers. Students learn to link chemical structure to specific physical and chemical properties. We discuss sustainability, performance, and innovation side-by-side. By combining visual models, case studies, and practical examples, I make complex concepts clear and engaging. Together, we explore how chemistry drives material innovation—and how students can be part of that story.

Chemistry is most valuable when it can be used to solve real problems. My teaching focuses on analytical chemistry, spectroscopy, chromatography, and quantitative analysis techniques. Lessons are interactive, connecting theory with hands-on problem-solving. Students learn how each method works, why it matters, and how to apply it in lab contexts. I work with many geneticists and microbiologists who need strong analytical skills. Together, we practise interpreting spectra, separating compounds, and ensuring measurement accuracy. Real case studies from scientific research bring each topic to life. Visual tools and structured exercises guide students step-by-step through complex data. I also include troubleshooting challenges to build problem-solving confidence. The goal is to develop not only understanding, but also independent thinking. Over time, students can approach any analytical task with skill and assurance. Chemistry becomes a bridge between knowledge and innovation.
