About Noleen
In my psychology studies one of my specialties was learning disabilities, specifically reading disabilities (dyslexia). I have also taught in the school system in special education (LSEN). For many years I ran my own Computer Assisted Teaching (CAT) Centre with a focus on remedial work and developing skills for children with intellectual impairments.

This type of teaching works best one-on-one, and I would not take a group bigger than six. I am hands-on and practical in my approach, and vary my techniques to accommodate the needs of my learners. I use a lot of creativity and work towards encouraging a sense of achievement in my learners. I work with core subjects - Maths, English and Afrikaans - and can offer others on request.

At the age of 4 or 5 I began doing highland dancing, getting lessons from my mom alongside other students she taught. I carried on with highland dancing until I was in high school, where I began taking up other forms of dance. Thanks to her, I received 75% on my matric certificate, a meritious achievement.
