About Walter

I’m a Bachelor of Science graduate with majors in Immunology & Pathology and Infectious Diseases, and I have several years of experience tutoring students through established tutoring centers and private lessons.

I genuinely enjoy teaching and helping students reach the point where a subject that once seemed difficult starts to make sense. Having worked with students of different abilities and learning styles, I understand that there is no single approach that works for everyone.

I’m approachable, patient and focused on creating an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through things they don’t understand. At the same time, I take academic performance seriously and aim to help students become more confident, capable and independent in their studies.

About the lesson

I have several years of experience tutoring students, including HSC students, through established tutoring centers and individual tutoring. My approach focuses on making difficult concepts clear, building confidence, and developing the skills students need to tackle questions independently.

I believe Biology is best learned through understanding rather than simply memorizing information. I break down complex concepts into clear, logical explanations before applying them to practice and exam-style questions. I also encourage students to explain concepts in their own words, which helps identify gaps in understanding and strengthens recall.

For Year 11–12 HSC Biology, I can help with learning and consolidating content, practice questions, written responses, exam technique, assessment preparation and developing effective study strategies.

I hold a Bachelor of Science with majors in Immunology & Pathology and Infectious Diseases. This gives me a strong university-level foundation in the biological sciences and allows me to provide deeper context when explaining HSC concepts.

I also offer tutoring for selected university science subjects, particularly immunology, pathology and infectious diseases. These lessons can be tailored to the student's specific course and needs.

Lessons are typically 60 minutes, with longer sessions available where appropriate.

My goal is to help students genuinely understand their subject, become more confident tackling unfamiliar questions, and develop skills that continue to benefit them beyond their next assessment.
