Basic Mathematics, Algebra, and Introductory Calculus:
This area focuses on building and strengthening mathematical foundations essential for technical and engineering-related fields. It covers basic arithmetic operations, fractions, exponents, radicals, and proportional reasoning. Algebra topics include algebraic expressions, linear and quadratic equations, systems of equations, functions, and basic graph analysis. Introductory calculus introduces fundamental concepts such as limits, basic derivatives, and their graphical and practical interpretation. These topics provide the analytical tools required to understand variation, rates of change, and problem-solving strategies commonly applied in electronics, data analysis, and engineering contexts.
Basic Electronics (English and Spanish):
This subject covers the fundamental principles of electronics, including electric current, voltage, resistance, power, and the application of Ohm’s Law and Kirchhoff’s Laws. Students learn to identify, analyze, and work with basic electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, transistors, timers, logic gates, and integrated circuits. Emphasis is placed on reading and interpreting electrical schematics, understanding circuit behavior, and performing basic measurements and calculations.
