About Amy
Hi, my name is Amy and I am currently studying a degree in secondary education. After graduating high school in 2017 I began my university journey studying engineering at the University of Melbourne. I began tutoring in my second year to help finance my studies and discovered a love for teaching.
From there I transferred to my education degree which is what I am currently studying.
I completed both Maths Methods and Further maths for my VCE when I was in high school, and within my university degree have completed a further two years of maths education, so am highly qualified to help with high school maths at any level.

My teaching philosophy is based on exposure and practice.
Maths is one of those subjects where practise makes perfect and within my teaching style I aim to help my students achieve that.
At the beginning of a lesson with me, we will first go over what my student is learning in their class and we will go over their understanding.
From that point, I am to go over a variety of examples my students may not have been exposed to in their class to give them a competitive edge over other students.
To my class, I bring notes and extra learning materials ( including extra questions and examples) that I give all my students access to.
