About Reuben

My singing lessons are designed to help you explore and grow your voice in a way that feels exciting, safe, and deeply personal. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all method — instead, I focus on what works best for you. Whether you want to sing on stage, at open mics, in a choir, or just in your living room, I help you build the skills and confidence to sing your way. You’ll learn solid vocal technique — how to breathe well, shape your sound, support your voice, and expand your range — while also diving into creative work like phrasing, interpretation, and emotional delivery. You pick the songs and genres, and I’ll guide you in learning how to bring them to life in your own voice. I also use tools like movement, imagery, lyric breakdowns, and improvisation to help you build musical awareness and artistic expression. We go at your pace — slowly and gently when needed, or with energy and momentum when you’re ready to stretch. If nerves or self-doubt are part of your story, we’ll work through them together, using exercises that build confidence and resilience. You’ll always leave lessons with a clear plan and helpful tips for practice. I also offer optional support in harmony singing, music theory, and preparation for auditions or live performances. No matter what your musical journey looks like, I’ll meet you with care, creativity, and encouragement.

About the lesson

My singing methodology is designed for students who want to grow vocally and artistically. I use a progressive and adaptable model rooted in Communication, Creativity, Cultural Sensitivity, and Accountability to guide singers toward lasting growth.

Communication means every student has a voice in how they learn. I check in regularly and adapt lessons based on your feedback and vocal development. Whether we’re working on pitch stability or stylistic nuance, I ensure the goals are collaborative and tailored.

Creativity fuels the joy of singing. We won’t just work on vocal technique—we’ll explore interpretation, create alternate endings, and experiment with improvisation. I bring in fun, expressive tasks that connect your voice to your imagination and emotion.

With Cultural Sensitivity, I ensure our repertoire spans borders and histories. We might study spirituals, Bollywood songs, indigenous chants, or opera—always with attention to context and meaning. This approach builds not just vocal range, but emotional intelligence and respect.

Accountability gives structure to the artistic journey. We use reflective tools like voice journals, progress trackers, and practice plans. I help students stay consistent while making space for rest, reflection, and experimentation.

I also support growth in breath support, diction, musical storytelling, and audition preparation. Whether you’re a hobbyist or aspiring professional, I’ll guide you to use your voice with technique and purpose.
