About Jocelyn
My teaching approach for singers like The Church Ensemble Player and The Crossover Artist centers on versatility, control, and authentic expression across genres. Whether you're singing classical hymns, soulful gospel, smooth jazz, or contemporary pop, we’ll build a flexible vocal foundation that adapts to each style’s demands.
We begin by strengthening core techniques breath support, pitch control, resonance, and diction then shape these skills to suit each genre’s unique tone, phrasing, and dynamics. For example, you’ll learn to move between the sustained legato of classical, the rhythmic syncopation of jazz, and the speech-like phrasing of pop.
To deepen your musicality, we explore ear training, harmony blending, and improvisation, especially for ensemble work and solo transitions. We’ll also cover sight singing and stylistic interpretation to give you confidence on any stage.
Modern tech is a key part of your progress. We use DAWs for recording and playback, metronomes for timing precision, and pitch training apps to fine-tune accuracy.

With over 10 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Classical Voice, I bring a deep love for singing and a passion for guiding others on their vocal journey.
