About Sandra
Too many students struggle because they try to recite reactions instead of visualizing the electron push. Mechanisms are physical reality.
We prioritize deep understanding over rote recall. My custom reaction summary sheets serve as the foundation for our deep dives into the chemistry of functional groups. With 6 years of experience, I know exactly where the pitfalls lie in complex synthesis.
We strip away the noise and focus on the core logic. You will walk away from our time together ready to tackle your next exam with confidence.

Seeing electrons move on a page is the moment everything changes. I spent 6 years guiding students through the dense woods of stereochemistry and aromatic chemistry to find clarity. My path from a 520+ MCAT score to Harvard Medical School was paved with this very focus on the mechanics of SN1 and SN2 reactions.
Chemistry is not a collection of arbitrary shapes to memorize. It is a logical flow of charge and stability that repeats across alcohols and ethers. I often explain NMR spectroscopy as a puzzle rather than a chore.
Whether we are drawing out IR or mass spectrometry data, the logic remains consistent. I have worked with countless pre-meds and college chemistry majors who felt overwhelmed by the volume of content.
It is possible to see the underlying architecture of reaction mechanisms. Elimination reactions become predictable once you track the nucleophile. Many students reach out to me after months of frustration because they see the patterns at last.
