About Wendy

As a teacher in Hong Kong, I have teaching experience in large class and small groups, especially to support students with learning difficulties, teaching Cantonese and English to primary students whose Cantonese and English is not their first language

I have been a music tutor in a piano company, achieved grade 8 in both piano and Er Hu. Good at solo (both melody and chord)in playing the two musical instruments. I have been the Kowloon Youth Chinese Orchestra member for two years before, and have achieved merit result in the public music festival in Hong Kong.

I am confident that you will be able to learn elementary level of Chinese, especially if you want to learn Cantonese, reading, listening, speaking and writing in Chinese.

For those who would like to learn Chinese musical instrument- one of the most popular one- Er Hu,
I am also eager to teach you the basic musical knowledge and practical skill in playing it.
Alos, if you want to learn elementary level of piano in solo or chord, I am also here to support you.

About the lesson

I am currently studying MA TESOL studies in the University of Leeds. My first language is Cantonese.
Before coming to study in Leeds, I have been working as a registered teacher in Primary School in Hong Kong for more than 3 years, mainly teaching Chinese and English in both large class and small group.

I graduated with Master in Applied Sociology in the City University of Hong Kong, Postgraduate Diploma in Education (English for Primary School), The Education University of Hong Kong, Postgraduate Cert in English language Teaching, OUHK. My first bachelor degree is BA Applied Social Science from the Shiffeld Hallam University.

I am good at speaking Cantonese, reading, writing, listening in Chinese. I have been teaching both Chinese and English in Primary School from Hong Kong, mainly to teach primary students whose English and Cantonese is their second language, especially for students with learning difficulties.

I have also been musical tutor in a piano company for 2 years, teaching elementary level of piano and Er Hu. I have been the Kowloon Youth Chinese Orchestra member for two years before, and have achieved merit result in the public music festival in Hong Kong.
