About Grace

I’m a junior at UCCS with plans to attend law school and pursue a future in politics. Growing up, my brain learned differently, and traditional school methods just didn’t seem to accommodate how I processed information. I struggled to find a way to make it work, but through trial and error, I figured it out on my own. By embracing my unique learning style and approaching things in my own way, I ultimately found success and unlocked my passion- becoming the creative, driven person I am today. Outside of academics, I LOVE filmmaking, video games, skateboarding, musical theater, hitting the gym, and most of all, writing. I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember, with a deep love for fiction, essays, and poetry. My favorite books are The Secret History by Donna Tartt and The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. I absolutely love working with kids because I believe in their potential to grow and succeed. I find it rewarding to help them discover their strengths and provide the guidance and support they need to thrive, whether it’s in academics or personal development.

About the lesson

Hi! I’m Grace, a passionate and patient educator with years of experience working with children and helping them learn in engaging, supportive ways. I’m a writer with a strong background in English- I have AP class experience, as well as college-level English courses and academic writing awards. While I’m new to formal tutoring, I’ve always been a natural teacher- great at breaking things down in a way that makes sense. I’ve worked with children of all learning styles, including neurodivergent kids and those who learn a little differently outside of traditional teaching methods like myself. I work with elementary, middle school, and early high school students on summer reading, creative writing, essays, school and job applications, resumes, and overall literacy skills like grammar and spelling. If your child needs a confidence boost, extra support, or a fresh perspective, I’m here to help them thrive!
