Hi, my name is Vincent. I am a tutor in the Newcastle area and currently work full time as an aviation electronics technician.
I completed my HSC with +90% in English (Advanced), Mathematics, Music 1 and Studies of Religion 1. Overall an ATAR of 92.80.

I find teaching Mathematics and English to students who may need extra help when it comes to trickier concepts most valuable, as I also had a hard time keeping up in early high school. I am skilled at simplifying down what other teachers may make sound complex, as I was once in the position of having to translate concepts into my own head, so that I could succeed. I am a big believer in making Maths and English simple, teaching tips and tricks that can elevate anyone's problem solving or essay writing skills.
Right now I am focusing on Yr 7, 8, 9 and 10 students, I believe these are crucial years in developing a student's habits in not only the theory, but also exam technique. Creating good habits in the early years will set up an easier path in Years 11 and 12, and I am confident in teaching good exam techniques that can create a few extra marks.

Details
At this point in time I am only available on weekends if tutoring is desired every week. For one offs, I may be able to find time during the week as I work shifts. I am happy to travel anywhere in a 20 minute drive radius around Mayfield (most of Newcastle), at no extra cost. I can also do online tutoring over Zoom or Skype, if that is preferred.
