About Daniel
Over the last eight years, I taught English in Japan to students ranging from preschool learners to university students and adults, across beginner through advanced proficiency levels.
Throughout my time as a Language Instructor, my primary responsibilities were to facilitate and grade tests, give out and look over completed homework, document complete or incomplete homework, and communicate instructions clearly and appropriately for each level.
Working with a variety of populations taught me to be sensitive to the needs, expectations, and difficulties of each student at varying levels of academic progress.
Additionally, navigating life as a foreigner abroad, honing strong written and verbal communication skills, developing detail-oriented organizational skills, and interacting with a broad range of individuals in an academic setting have given me the necessary qualifications to help students identify and set achievable academic goals.

For language acquisition, students need to be persistent, be encouraged, felt heard, put in effort, and receive appropriate feedback to be able to excel in their target language.
Beyond the student's commitment, the instructor too needs to commit to their students and foster a learning environment that is interactive, engaging, and educational.
After 8 years of teaching ESL in Japan, I've learned a countless number of ways to teach English across beginner through advanced proficiency levels.
My goal is to help the student with real-world English that will build confidence and competence simultaneously.
