I enjoy teaching and learning. Every student is an opportunity to help someone and also to learn from the experience. I like to laugh and I think a balance between sustained focus and enjoyment is important. Burnout is all too common when learning is only about progress and goals. Nothing matches the feeling of seeing success and confidence replace struggling and frustration.

My 18 years of experience help me to identify the best strategies for me to instruct and for students to study. My greatest strengths as an educator are the abilities to gain insight into a student's thinking, to have the patience and persistence to help them build their strengths and to give them the tools to reduce their weaknesses.
