About Bryanna

I am a 200hr Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher. I have been teaching at a local studio for about a year and absolutely love it. As time goes on, I have grown more passionate about uniting the body, mind, and spirit both on and off the mat. I love to teach gentle and power yoga, as well as pranayama and guided meditation. I love when my students tell me they leave class feeling rejuvenated, relaxed, and refreshed!

My goal as a yoga teacher is to inspire my students to grow more confident in their yoga abilities as well as in themselves overall. I facilitate this by encouraging cultivation of strength, flexibility, stability, mindfulness, and patience.

I strongly believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to yoga. Just as we all experience the world differently, each person has their own unique practice. I am very mindful of the natural and wonderful differences in each person’s anatomy that affects their range of motion and flexibility. Each body is different and that is beautiful! Likewise, each person’s relationship with their body, mind, and spirit is unique.

I feel the journey is more important than the destination; tuning in to the body and mind often is more important than striking a pose! Of course, it's possible to do both, and I love seeing my students develop more strength, stability, and confidence.

I have taught pranayama and meditation, yoga by candlelight, yin, yin flow, gentle, and slow power yoga.

My approach to each student is to recognize areas of struggle and hesitation in the body and mind and work to overcome them with curated asana and mindfulness practice. For the first half of our first session, I will talk with you about your current comfort level of yoga practice, your yoga goals, and your struggles. We will then have a mini-class highlighting some common poses to see where you’re at, and give you the opportunity to see if you enjoy my teaching style. I’ll also include a brief savasana with a simple guided meditation. For each of our sessions, we can work together towards learning a new pose, becoming more familiar with yoga in general, becoming more aware of the body and/or mind, or any other goal you have for yourself!

You will need a working webcam and microphone since, due to COVID, I am only offering web-classes at this time. I know it can feel a little weird to be one-on-one via webcam sometimes. I have been teaching via webcam since April and have grown quite familiar with it. I will do my best to make you feel at ease.

A little about myself: I am a Massachusetts native who moved to the NETN area 3 years ago to escape the long, cold winters. I practiced yoga off and on for about 8 years before finally feeling called to enroll in a teaching program. It was the best 6 months of my life, and made me realize just how powerful a steady practice can be. I love to share the beauty that is self-love. My yoga role-model is Adriene Mishler. I love reading fiction novels, TV and movies, learning about animals, color theory and psychology, practicing kindness, tea, and vegan food. I live where the wind takes me with my kitty son, Goose.
