I believe in a holistic approach to teaching, ensuring that my students are being taught and cared for intellectually, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. I enjoy teaching with hands-on methods, lots of visuals, opportunities for student feedback and inquiry, as well as practice of different skills in fun, engaging ways. In terms of literacy and reading, I love integrating Orton Gillingham strategies into my lessons. I also enjoy finding ways for students to easily continue applying and practicing the skills they're learning at home.
My lessons will typically be an hour long, with options for half hour sessions based on student needs. My lessons will include mini lessons and opportunities to practice the skills being taught with things like worksheets, games, and other engaging activities.
These lessons are for students in grades K-3.
