About Shelby

Hi, friends! I'm Shelby, and I couldn't be more excited to support you in your various learning journeys! I hold an MA in Globalisation, a BAH in Global Development and Drama, and have also taken a range of additional courses! I have extensive university-level teaching assistant experience and mentoring experience. I'm a socially extroverted individual and I enjoy interacting with people! I love academia, understanding new ways of learning, and encouraging others to think critically about the world that we live in, and to follow their passions!

About the lesson

I like to understand how each person processes and retains information and, from there, determine the best way to tailor the lessons based on the learning styles of each student. Lesson lengths could range from 30-60 minutes. My previous tutoring experiences include several former teaching assistant positions at both Canadian and UK universities, as well as mentoring positions where I worked with newcomers and refugees. I'm happy to provide lessons for individuals in Secondary education, and university, for those taking extra learning courses who might require some additional support, etc.
