About Rosemarie

Hi guys! I am an industrial design graduate and currently studying mathematics and computer science in Strasbourg. I have a passion for languages and history, and I'm fascinated by foreign cultures. I was lucky to have several opportunities to travel during my studies, first to Italy and then to South Korea, before starting my master degree in the Netherlands in 2019. I met so many people from so many countries, and realized just how important it is to speak several languages in order to connect with people from different cultural backgrounds. In the Netherlands I used to teach French as a part-time job, and now that I'm back in France I want to help students improve their English (though if you are not a native French speaker and wish to learn French, do not hesitate to contact me as well!).

About the lesson

After teaching French in the Netherlands for 2 years, I am now back in France and teaching English and French to students of all levels of proficiency.

During the first lesson we will get to know each other and talk about your level in the chosen language, your goals, and what you want to learn specifically. From there we can create a roadmap to achieve these goals within the deadline.

All lessons are customised for each student and we will progress at your own pace.

As an example, most of my French courses in the Netherlands were structured as follows: during the lesson we go over the contents together, and we discuss the different points. At the end of the lesson we decide together what we will focus on for the next lesson: are there any points that need some more practice or do we move on to the next lesson? In between two lessons, I will send you a practice sheet by email so you can do some exercises if you wish. At the start of the next lesson, we do a 10min mini-test to check if you remember the most important points of the previous lesson or if we need to review some things before moving on.

I can help you improve your English and French for all types of situations, whether it is tutoring, or if you need to practice business English/French, whether you want to improve your oral expression or written comprehension etc. Classes can be conducted entirely in English (or French) or in both French and English depending on your preferences. If you just want to improve your speaking skills by chatting in English/French for a few hours a week, that is also possible.

I can do individual or group lessons (provided the starting level and goals are similar ).
