About Harshh

Hi, I'm Harshh. I've got a BSc in Maths and a B.Ed, and I've been tutoring maths for 6+ years.
Quick thing about me — I scored 100/100 in almost every maths exam I ever sat. School, high school, competitive papers. But I never had a tutor. Barely watched YouTube. School teachers didn't do much for me either. I figured maths out on my own, sitting with a textbook and a pen.
That's the bit I want to pass on. Most students don't need a tutor forever — they just need someone to show them how to learn maths by themselves, once. After that you're free.

About the lesson

I don't do the usual "watch me solve it, now copy." That makes students dependent. Here's how I actually work:

- First session, I just listen to you solve a few problems out loud. That tells me more than any test would.
- I won't let you memorise a formula before you understand why it works. If you get the why, you can rebuild it even if you blank in the exam.
- I'll teach you how to read a maths textbook properly. Sounds basic. Nobody teaches it.
- When you're stuck, I stay quiet longer than most tutors. The struggle is where the learning happens — I only step in at the exact point you actually need it.
- Past papers from your exam board (AQA, Edexcel, OCR, whichever). We learn how examiners think.

If I'm doing my job right, you'll need me less every month, not more.

He is really good at teaching me tricks for factors and prime numbers. I also love the tests that we do at the beginning of our lessons as I can see what I need to work on.

My child is preparing for maths GCSE this year and wanted more exam practice, epsecially with upcoming mock exams. HARSH has been very helpful in eliciting gaps in knowledge and focussing on these. He takes time outside of the lesson to mark any completed work we send him and sends helpful targeted exercises or exam papers to practice for homework.
