About Lily
My passion for Chemistry started with curiosity about how molecules interact and transform under different conditions. This fascination led me to pursue an M.Sc in Organic Chemistry, where I gained a deep understanding of theoretical principles, laboratory techniques, and analytical reasoning. Over the past 10 years, I have taught students of varied backgrounds, helping them progress from uncertainty to clarity and mastery through structured, patient instruction. I emphasize clarity, adaptability, and support in teaching. I take time to understand each learner’s thought process and tailor explanations with visual aids, stepwise reasoning, and real-life analogies. I encourage curiosity, questioning, and learning from mistakes, helping students build confidence and resilience. Outside teaching, I actively engage with Chemistry through research, experimentation, and keeping up with current scientific developments. Teaching Chemistry is profoundly rewarding because I witness students develop analytical skills, confidence, and independence. Supporting their growth and helping them think like scientists is the most fulfilling aspect of my work.

Chemistry becomes both engaging and approachable when students are introduced to concepts through clear explanations and structured guidance. My lessons cover atomic structure, chemical bonding, reaction mechanisms, thermodynamics, and energy transformations, emphasizing reasoning over memorization. I help students build connections between concepts, fostering critical thinking and analytical skills that allow them to solve complex problems. Each session is designed to gradually enhance knowledge while encouraging curiosity and confidence.
Lesson content is tailored to the learner’s level. Beginners explore chemical symbols, simple formula writing, and basic reactions through visual and interactive methods. Intermediate learners dive into stoichiometry, periodic trends, acids and bases, and reaction types with guided practice exercises. Advanced learners study equilibrium, kinetics, thermodynamics, and advanced organic reaction pathways with emphasis on accuracy and structured problem-solving strategies. Carefully designed exercises reinforce understanding and build learner confidence.
Chemistry lessons also cultivate patience, logical reasoning, and independent thinking. As students gain conceptual clarity, they approach scientific challenges with confidence and methodical reasoning. Many learners develop an appreciation for Chemistry as a logical and structured discipline. My goal is to support learners in developing both understanding and self-assurance in scientific thinking.
