About Tavian
My interest in chemistry began when I first studied how atoms combine to create the wide variety of substances that exist in the world around us. I found it fascinating that tiny particles could form complex molecules that influence everything from biological systems to industrial materials. This curiosity encouraged me to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and later complete a Master's in Chemistry.
Over the past 8 years, I have worked with students who wanted to strengthen their understanding of chemistry for school courses, examinations, and further academic studies. Through teaching experience, I observed that many learners struggle when chemical ideas are presented only as formulas without explanation. Because of this, I focus on helping students understand the reasoning behind reactions and chemical relationships.
My teaching approach emphasizes patience, structured explanation, and thoughtful discussion. I encourage students to ask questions, explore how chemical reactions occur, and develop confidence in analyzing scientific information. Helping learners overcome confusion and develop a deeper appreciation for chemistry is one of the most rewarding aspects of my teaching journey.

My chemistry lessons focus on helping students clearly understand how substances are formed, how they interact with one another, and how chemical reactions occur. Chemistry explains the composition and behavior of matter, and learning these ideas allows students to better understand both natural and industrial processes. In my lessons, I explain concepts step by step so learners can gradually build confidence while studying chemical science.
The lessons usually begin with fundamental topics such as atomic structure, elements, and the organization of the periodic table. Students learn how atoms contain protons, neutrons, and electrons and how these particles influence chemical behavior. Understanding atomic structure helps students recognize patterns in the periodic table and predict how elements may react with each other.
As learners progress further, lessons expand into topics such as chemical bonding, reaction types, acids and bases, and solution chemistry. Students practice balancing chemical equations and analyzing how substances transform during reactions. My goal is to help students develop logical reasoning skills and understand the principles that explain how chemical changes occur in both laboratory and real-world environments.
