About Amy
My interest in Chemistry began with curiosity about how substances interact and transform at a molecular level. This curiosity led me to pursue a B.Sc in Chemical Analysis, where I developed a strong foundation in both theoretical chemistry and practical laboratory techniques. Over 7 years of teaching, I have worked with students from various educational backgrounds, helping them build understanding, confidence, and scientific reasoning skills. I believe effective Chemistry instruction should be patient, clear, and encouraging. I adapt explanations using diagrams, real-world examples, and step-by-step breakdowns to suit each learner’s needs. I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable expressing uncertainty and exploring ideas without fear of mistakes. Outside teaching, I continue engaging with Chemistry through academic reading and practical analysis discussions. Teaching Chemistry is deeply fulfilling to me because I witness students move from confusion to clarity. Helping learners develop confidence in their scientific thinking remains the most rewarding aspect of my work.

Chemistry becomes engaging when students understand the logic behind reactions, structures, and observable changes in matter. My lessons are designed to help learners connect theoretical concepts to practical understanding by explaining atomic structure, bonding, reaction behavior, and energy changes in a clear and structured way. I focus on developing scientific reasoning rather than memorization, encouraging students to ask questions, analyze outcomes, and build confidence through understanding.
Lessons are carefully tailored to the learner’s level. Beginners explore chemical symbols, formulas, and simple reactions using visual tools and relatable examples. Intermediate learners strengthen skills in stoichiometry, periodic trends, acids and bases, and reaction balancing. Advanced students focus on reaction pathways, equilibrium concepts, thermochemical calculations, and exam-focused problem-solving techniques. Practice questions, guided reasoning, and feedback are integrated throughout to reinforce clarity and accuracy.
Chemistry lessons also help students develop patience, attention to detail, and analytical thinking. As learners gain confidence, they approach scientific challenges with greater independence and curiosity. Many students begin to appreciate how chemistry explains everyday phenomena and modern technologies. My goal is to help learners view Chemistry as an understandable, structured subject that rewards thoughtful reasoning and curiosity.
