About Avery
My journey in chemistry began with a fascination for how substances transform and interact at the molecular level. This curiosity led me to complete a B.Sc in Industrial Chemistry, where I developed a strong foundation in both theoretical principles and applied chemical processes. Over 9 years of teaching, I have worked with students from diverse backgrounds, helping them overcome fear and build confidence in chemistry through clear explanation and structured guidance. I believe effective chemistry teaching requires patience, adaptability, and strong conceptual clarity. Many students struggle because chemistry is often taught too quickly or abstractly. I focus on breaking ideas into manageable steps, using real-life examples, diagrams, and everyday analogies to make concepts relatable and memorable. I encourage questions and emphasize understanding over memorization. Outside teaching, I stay connected to chemistry through reading scientific literature, exploring industrial applications, and following developments in chemical research. Teaching chemistry is deeply rewarding for me because I see students shift from frustration to confidence. Helping learners realize they can understand chemistry is one of the most fulfilling aspects of my work.

Chemistry becomes far less intimidating when students begin to see it as a logical system rather than a collection of formulas to memorize. My lessons are designed to build this understanding gradually by explaining atomic structure, periodic trends, bonding, reaction types, stoichiometry, and energy changes in a clear and connected way. I focus on helping students understand why reactions occur, not just how to solve questions, so they develop long-term confidence instead of short-term recall.
Each lesson is structured according to the learner’s academic level and learning style. Beginners receive patient guidance with core concepts, symbolic language, and basic calculations supported by visual explanations. Intermediate students strengthen their understanding of equilibrium, acids and bases, redox reactions, and reaction rates. Advanced learners work through multi-step problem solving, reaction mechanisms, analytical chemistry concepts, and exam-focused techniques. Practice questions and conceptual checks are included in every session.
Beyond academic results, chemistry lessons help students sharpen analytical thinking, accuracy, and scientific reasoning. Students often gain confidence once they realize chemistry follows patterns and logic. My goal is to help learners approach chemistry with clarity and curiosity, transforming confusion into understanding and helping them feel capable of mastering even complex chemical ideas.
