About Juliet
I hold a B.Sc in Chemistry and an M.Sc in Chemical Education, with 12 years of experience teaching chemistry to students at school and pre-university levels. My academic journey strengthened my belief that chemistry should be taught as a logical story rather than a collection of disconnected rules. My teaching philosophy centers on patience, clarity, and emotional safety in learning. I take time to understand each student’s background, challenges, and goals, then adjust my explanations accordingly. I strongly believe that confidence grows when learners feel heard, supported, and never rushed through understanding. Beyond teaching, I remain deeply engaged with chemistry education through curriculum analysis, continuous professional development, and reflective teaching practice. Chemistry becomes meaningful when students understand how invisible particles create visible change. My lessons are designed to help learners move beyond surface-level memorization and develop a connected understanding of chemical principles. I carefully explain concepts such as atomic behavior, bonding, and reactions using logical sequencing, relatable examples, and visual reasoning. Each lesson builds understanding gradually, allowing students to feel steady rather than rushed.
Students begin with core foundations including mole concepts, stoichiometry, periodic trends, and chemical equations. As they progress, we explore thermodynamics, equilibrium, acids and bases, electrochemistry, and reaction kinetics. I emphasize clear calculation methods, unit awareness, structured problem-solving, and interpretation of experimental data. Guided practice and detailed feedback ensure accuracy and long-term retention.
Chemistry lessons also develop discipline, analytical thinking, and confidence. Over time, learners become calmer when approaching complex problems and more capable of explaining their reasoning. My goal is to help students feel capable, curious, and in control when studying chemistry.
