About Tessa
My interest in chemistry began with curiosity about how molecules interact and change in different conditions. This led me to complete a Master’s in Organic Chemistry, where I developed strong conceptual and analytical skills. Over the past 9 years, I have helped students understand chemistry in a structured and simple way that builds confidence and strong academic performance.
I believe chemistry should be taught with clarity and practical understanding. My teaching approach focuses on breaking down complex ideas into smaller steps and using real-life examples to explain them clearly. I encourage students to ask questions, practice regularly, and focus on understanding rather than memorizing.
Outside teaching, I enjoy exploring new developments in chemistry and studying real-world applications of chemical processes. This helps me keep lessons updated and relevant. Teaching chemistry is very meaningful to me because I see students grow from confusion to confidence. Helping them develop strong concepts, analytical thinking, and independent learning ability is one of the most rewarding parts of my teaching journey.

Chemistry becomes easier when students clearly understand the logic behind reactions instead of memorizing them. In my lessons, I focus on topics such as atomic structure, chemical bonding, reactions, acids and bases, and organic chemistry using simple and structured explanations. I break down each concept into smaller steps so students can follow comfortably without confusion. I also use real-life examples such as cooking processes, cleaning agents, and environmental changes to make lessons more relatable and engaging. Each session is interactive and supportive, allowing students to learn at their own pace while building confidence step by step.
As students progress, lessons are adjusted based on their level and understanding. Beginners focus on basic concepts and simple reactions. Intermediate learners work on equations, calculations, and concept connections. Advanced students focus on reaction mechanisms, complex problem solving, and exam preparation strategies. I provide regular practice, revision sessions, and detailed feedback to ensure steady improvement and strong conceptual clarity.
Chemistry helps students develop logical thinking, accuracy, and analytical skills. As they improve, they become more confident in solving problems and understanding how substances behave. These skills are useful in both academic learning and real-life situations. My goal is to make chemistry simple, clear, and engaging so students feel confident in applying concepts and developing a deep understanding of the subject independently while strengthening their problem-solving ability.
