About Gavin
My interest in Chemistry began with a fascination for how substances interact and transform. I completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry and later earned a Master’s Degree in Chemical Education. During the past 8 years, I have worked with students from different academic backgrounds and learning levels.
I believe successful learning happens when lessons are clear, engaging, and adapted to individual needs. My teaching style focuses on patience, encouragement, and helping students understand concepts rather than simply memorising information. Every learner receives support tailored to their strengths and challenges.
Outside teaching, I enjoy following developments in chemical research and scientific innovation. These interests help me bring relevant examples into lessons and keep learning connected to the real world. Helping students grow in confidence and understanding is what motivates me every day.

My Chemistry lessons focus on making scientific ideas easier to understand and apply. I teach topics such as atomic structure, chemical bonding, reactions, acids and bases, equilibrium, and organic chemistry through clear explanations and practical examples. Students learn how different concepts fit together, helping them build a stronger understanding of the subject.
Every lesson is planned around the student's learning needs and goals. I use diagrams, worked examples, and guided practice to break down difficult topics into manageable steps. This approach helps learners improve their problem-solving abilities while building confidence in calculations and scientific reasoning.
I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring ideas. As understanding grows, learners become more confident when approaching unfamiliar problems. My goal is to help students develop lasting knowledge and a positive attitude towards Chemistry.
