About Penelope
My interest in chemistry began during my early studies when I first observed chemical reactions in laboratory experiments. Seeing substances change color, release heat, or produce new materials made me curious about the scientific principles behind these changes. This curiosity motivated me to pursue a Bachelor’s in Chemistry and later complete a Master’s in Chemistry to develop a deeper understanding of molecular science.
Over the past 9 years, I have taught chemistry to students with different academic backgrounds and learning styles. Through this experience I learned that chemistry can feel difficult when concepts are introduced too quickly or without clear explanations. Because of this, I focus on presenting each topic in a structured and understandable way that helps students gradually build their knowledge.
My teaching style encourages students to ask questions and explore scientific ideas with curiosity. I believe that when learners understand the reasoning behind chemical concepts, they become more confident and motivated to continue studying science.

My chemistry lessons focus on helping students understand how different substances interact and transform through chemical reactions. Instead of asking learners to memorize formulas and definitions without context, I explain the scientific ideas that explain why reactions happen and how atoms combine to form molecules. By using simple language and clear diagrams, students can visualize chemical structures and processes more easily.
Lessons are organized according to the student’s academic level and learning pace. Beginners start with basic concepts such as atomic structure, elements, compounds, and the periodic table. Intermediate learners explore chemical bonding, reaction types, and the principles behind balancing chemical equations. Advanced students focus on more complex topics such as reaction mechanisms, chemical calculations, and solving examination-level problems that require deeper conceptual understanding.
Chemistry becomes more interesting when students understand the patterns behind reactions and the behavior of different substances. My goal is to help learners move beyond memorization and develop a clear understanding of chemical principles. As students gain confidence, they begin to approach chemistry with curiosity and logical thinking.
