About Amy

My fascination with chemistry began with curiosity about reactions, molecular interactions, and the invisible rules that govern matter. I earned a B.Sc in Chemistry and an M.Sc in Organic Chemistry, gaining extensive knowledge in both theoretical and experimental aspects of the field. Over the past 11 years, I have guided students of diverse backgrounds, helping them develop conceptual understanding, analytical thinking, and practical skills that build confidence and mastery in chemistry.

I teach through a combination of structured explanations, visual demonstrations, problem-solving exercises, and experimental examples. Many learners initially find chemical equations, molecular structures, and reaction mechanisms intimidating, so I emphasize clear, stepwise instruction, contextual applications, and iterative practice. Lessons are customized to match each learner’s pace, style, and objectives, promoting both skill and curiosity.

Beyond teaching, I remain engaged with research literature, laboratory techniques, and applied chemical studies to enrich my lessons. Teaching chemistry is deeply rewarding because I witness learners evolve from uncertainty to mastery, developing analytical reasoning, observational skills, and problem-solving confidence. Supporting students as they become thoughtful, skilled, and independent chemists is one of the most fulfilling aspects of my career.

Chemistry becomes engaging when learners connect abstract principles to practical applications and experimental observations. My lessons cover atomic structure, chemical bonding, stoichiometry, reaction kinetics, thermodynamics, and analytical techniques. I focus on conceptual clarity, step-by-step problem-solving, and hands-on exercises that develop understanding, confidence, and analytical thinking. Lessons integrate real-world examples, case studies, and interactive exercises to ensure learners grasp both the logic and practical relevance of chemical principles.

Intermediate learners explore molecular interactions, reaction mechanisms, solution chemistry, and experimental design to strengthen reasoning and practical problem-solving skills. Advanced learners tackle chemical kinetics, thermodynamic calculations, spectroscopy, and complex analytical methods, developing deeper conceptual understanding and independent problem-solving capabilities. Lessons are tailored to the student’s goals, pace, and prior knowledge, providing structured guidance and iterative practice to ensure mastery.

Chemistry instruction also nurtures observation skills, critical thinking, and precision. Students learn to analyze data, interpret experimental results, and apply chemical principles effectively. My goal is to help learners become independent, confident, and analytically skilled chemists capable of tackling complex problems, understanding molecular interactions, and applying their knowledge creatively in academic, research, or real-world contexts.
