About Addilyn

Chemistry has always fascinated me because of how it explains interactions at the smallest scale while shaping the world around us. This passion inspired me to pursue an M.Sc in Chemical Sciences and spend the last seven years teaching students with different academic goals. I enjoy showing learners that Chemistry becomes much easier when concepts are explained with clarity and patience. Helping students overcome difficulties and begin to appreciate the subject is something I truly value. I have worked with students preparing for school exams, competitive tests, and advanced science tracks. I focus on breaking down complex ideas into understandable pieces so students never feel lost or rushed. Over the years, I have supported learners who struggled with reaction mechanisms, bonding, equations, and theoretical reasoning, guiding them through each concept in a calm, systematic way. Creating a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions is central to my teaching style. Beyond teaching, I stay connected to scientific learning by exploring new developments in chemistry, conducting small-scale experiments, and reading research summaries. These experiences help me bring fresh explanations and examples into my lessons, making the subject more engaging and relevant. I approach every session with warmth, dedication, and genuine enthusiasm for helping students grow academically and intellectually.

My Chemistry lessons start with the essential building blocks of the subject—atoms, molecules, the periodic table, bonding, and simple reactions. I explain each concept in a clear and structured way so students can visualize what is happening even at the microscopic level. This early stage focuses on helping learners build a strong foundation and feel comfortable with key ideas that are often the basis for more advanced topics. By introducing concepts slowly and patiently, students develop confidence from the very beginning.

As students progress, we explore reaction mechanisms, chemical equations, acids and bases, solubility, energy changes, and properties of matter. I guide learners step by step, showing them how to connect theory with real-world applications. Problem-solving is integrated into each lesson, allowing students to practice balancing equations, interpreting diagrams, and analyzing chemical behavior. This helps them strengthen analytical skills and think more scientifically in their approach.

Advanced learners receive focused instruction in organic chemistry, thermodynamics, equilibrium, kinetics, and laboratory-based reasoning. I provide clear strategies for approaching complex reactions, interpreting multi-step problems, and understanding how chemical systems behave under different conditions. My lessons aim to make Chemistry understandable, interesting, and manageable for students at all levels by combining clear explanations, guided practice, and steady encouragement.
