About Fadia
Recently, I took an early retirement from UC Berkeley, which allows me the flexibility to teach chess full-time or part-time. I currently teach young children an after-school chess enrichment class in San Francisco. I enjoy my work and find it very fulfilling and rewarding.

I started playing chess at seven and have enjoyed the game ever since. Over the years, I’ve taught both of my children how to play, and I firmly believe that every child can benefit from learning chess. The game nurtures strategic thinking, builds confidence, and, most importantly, it’s a lot of fun!
I participated in a chess club during my teenage years and was proud to earn a medal in a competition. That experience and my enthusiasm for the game inspired me to share this excellent activity with young minds. In addition to my love for chess, I bring valuable experience working with children. My fun-loving yet responsible nature helps me engage with children meaningfully while ensuring a professional approach to my work.
