About Meldine

Hi, I’m Meldine Pangco! I’m a passionate, goal-oriented ESL teacher based here in the Philippines, with over 15 years of experience under my belt. Whether it's online or face-to-face, I’ve spent years mastering both one-on-one (man-to-man) sessions and dynamic group classes.

If you ask my students to describe my style, they’ll tell you I bring a unique balance to the classroom: I'm fun and energetic, but I’m also strict when it comes to getting results. I love keeping my lessons engaging, but I'm incredibly focused on helping you hit your specific goals. I'm here to make sure you enjoy the process, but more importantly, that you actually see the progress you're paying for!

About the lesson

My teaching approach focuses on three main ideas to get students talking and thinking independently. First, I stick to a 70/30 rule where the student does most of the talking; I’m just there to guide the conversation so they can build real confidence. When it comes to tough exam prep, I don’t just throw students into the deep end. Instead, I break big tasks down into smaller, manageable pieces—like mastering structure or vocabulary first—before putting it all together. Finally, rather than just pointing out mistakes, I use guided questions to help students catch and fix their own errors. It keeps them actively engaged instead of just passively listening.
