About Yvette
13 years ago I started teaching because I wanted to simplify organic chemistry and chemical bonding for others. Exactly 271 students have walked through my door since I began this long career. My background is rooted in academic rigor as a PhD candidate in Biology at Stanford University. This role allows me to guide hobbyists, kids, and teens through the intricacies of the mole concept and equation balancing.
I find that electrochemistry and thermochemistry become much easier once you understand the underlying mechanics. My teaching style is methodical and energetic. I enjoy helping my students build real confidence. You are welcome to contact me regarding your goals.

You will find the first session moves at a pace that highlights your existing strengths in organic chemistry and thermochemistry. We often start by looking at your current approach to equation balancing or the mole concept to see where you stand. Since I have 13 years of experience, I know how to turn confusion into clarity for hobbyists, kids, and teens.
I include a homework module assigned with every lesson to reinforce what we discuss during our time together. This helps you bridge the gap between initial concepts and full mastery. I keep things calm so you never feel overwhelmed by the technical details.
If you need support with chemical bonding or electrochemistry, I am ready to help. My process is designed to make complex topics feel manageable. You are welcome to join me for a session whenever you are ready.
