About Simon
I've been learning drums for just over a decade, and have a Bachelors Degree in Music with emphasis on interpretation and performance. I have 4 years teaching experience with private students and with School of Rock, and have formed part of many different projects in Miami and Colombia covering a wide range of genres.

Lessons are broken down into 4 categories:
Technique - Through various different exercises we talk about all the types of strokes and ways to grip the sticks you need to be aware of to maximize your progress, one at a time.
Patterns - After getting a few base rudiments under your muscle memory, we adapt them in different ways to develop a language on the drum set. Just with your singles, doubles, and paradiddles you can create an expansive vocabulary of grooves and fills.
Coordination - All 4 limbs. Usually the hardest part for most, I guide you through various methods that gradually scale up the difficulty.
Application - Depending on the students skill level and specific interest in music genres I devise a curriculum that incorporates the concepts we are working on at a given time.
