About Kenza

Hi! I'm Kenza and I'm 24. I just moved to London and I'm really excited to start teaching. I'm an English graduate and literature is my biggest interest. I love reading and I think liking English is just a matter of getting personalised lesson plans where you can learn in a way that suits you :)

About the lesson

Hi! I'm Kenza, and I tutor English and French at all levels, with a particular specialism in examination preparation.

I have been tutoring English and French since I was 15, working with students of a wide range of ages and abilities. Most of my experience is with students aged 15–18, although I also teach French to younger children, including those as young as four.

I studied Cambridge Pre-U and achieved A*, A*, A and B. This has given me a strong familiarity with the demands of formal examinations. I also have two years of experience preparing students for GCSE English Language and English Literature.

My lessons usually last 45 minutes to an hour, although I can accommodate longer sessions where needed. I aim to tailor my teaching to each student's needs, taking parents' preferences into account alongside my assessment of what would best support the student's progress.

I generally begin with an initial assessment to understand the student's current level, identify areas they find challenging and establish their goals. From there, I adapt lessons to their individual needs and interests. For example, I have taught English Language through discussions about a student's interest in race cars, using a subject they enjoyed to make learning more engaging and relevant.

Whether the aim is to improve confidence, strengthen subject knowledge or prepare for examinations, I aim to provide lessons that are structured, supportive and tailored to the individual student.

I am flexible with scheduling and happy to support students long-term to help them build confidence and achieve strong exam results.
