About Abeni
I am currently a full time 4th grade teacher and part time nanny looking to venture out of the classroom soon to nanny and tutor full time! I have a Bachelor's in Education from Spelman College and a Master's in Education and Certificate of Leadership for Independent Schools from Johns Hopkins University. I have been passionate about reading and writing throughout my own education and it brings me joy to help students find a love for it as well!

I offer English reading and writing lessons to students just starting to learn to read all the way to students taking college level courses. I like to get to know a student's interests and encourage that to shine in lessons! My style is direct and focused, but also very casual. I am open minded and can offer a lot of different ways to teach and explain topics depending on student need.
