About Sandy

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Education and have 5 years tutoring experience and 2 years in the class room. I have a reading endorsement and a TESOL certificate. I keep up-to-date on current trends in teaching by taking continuing education courses. I am highly invested in the success of my students and will do whatever I can to help them to achieve their goals.

About the lesson

I use a varied approach to teaching. I utilize games and other online activities to help facilitate understanding. Each lesson is tailored to the students specific needs. Lessons are for any student whether they are struggling, want to improve or simply wish to be challenged. My approach for the struggling lower grade student is heavily phonics based. Lessons last from 45-60 minutes. Lessons include reading and grammar work.

Review

All of our reviews are collected by us and are 100% reliable. They correspond to a real experience lived by the teacher's students.

Perfect! Mrs. Brown has been wonderful for Cullen. For the first time, he has been cooperative with math, and I am incredibly grateful for the time she spends with him, and she has the most reasonable rates out there. I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone who has a struggling math student.

Perfect! Sandy has been working with our daughter for about a month now and she is already improving her grades! She likes to teach by playing games with our daughter and she loves it! Doesn't feel like an extra hour of school.
