About Michael

Hello, I'm Michael — a language nerd and professional wordsmith ready to help you take your English skills to the next level.

For more than 10 years I've been writing copy by day and teaching private English lessons at night (but also sometimes during the day). I love the English language and thrive on inspiring others to find their voice in this beautiful (and maddeningly complex) language.

Communication is an important form of creative human expression. Let's work together to make sure that you're stoking that creativity — whether it's writing an essay for school, preparing an important presentation at work, gaining confidence through conversation, or flexing those reading muscles to tackle a new novel.

I have two music degrees and years of experience writing for two of New York City's best art museums. We can work on your English skills while discussing Mahler, Matisse, and Monet!

I've traveled all over the world and have studied three languages, so I know what it's like to feel frustrated when the words just aren't there quick enough!
