About Alyssa
I am from Vienna, currently live in London and have lived in Manchester for the past three years. I am outgoing, and reliable and try to not put too much pressure on the student as I found that it works best to encourage students to do better and understand the topic rather than making them feel uneasy when they don't always know the answer or the approach to the problem.

For the past four years, I have tutored online and have found a great way to work with kids via Zoom and Figma. Normally my lessons are around 50-60 mins long since I don't think longer lessons are always beneficial. A normal lesson would consist of us working out what the student is struggling with that week, a short introduction to the topic and then working on different problems together to practise the topic properly. I like to let the kids try doing the problems themselves first and work through the problems together after. I have taught kids between 12 and 16 years old mostly GCSE levels and below that. I have a degree in Environmental Science and am currently doing my Master's degree in Sustainable Resources, so I am happy to do a bit of science tutoring as well.
