About Gemma

3+ years experience in teaching.
Experience in working with both private and public schools.
Experience in working with the PYP Curriculum of the IBO
Experience in home lessons for individual and groups.
Experience in mini online tutoring sessions
Experience in differentiation, scaffolding and flipping the classroom, and, yes, because I am very innovative, I did all these before I knew the terminologies themselves!

About the lesson

I prefer engaging pupils in activities that help develop the skill to be learnt or makes use of the knowledge and skills learnt in real life situations. I also encourage out of the box thinking and so my assessments aim at discovering how the pupil thinks in relation to the concept at hand rather than how well they reproduce answers. Pupils engage in timed mental activities as well as defend each step in their answers!

Dami and I have been friends since our high school days, she is a great teacher as I recall how she taught me Maths( gosh, she's a brainbox in this subject), I was slow in learning Maths but she was very patient and she saw to it that I understood what she taught. Dami is very caring, I like to call her MOTHER HEN as she ensures that everyone is well taken care of and happy. She is considerate... these are but a few of the good things I can say about her and I would highly recommend her cause she's good and her students will be super lucky to have her as their tutor.
