About Shyla
I am an experienced High School teacher with 7 years experience teaching the WA Human Biology Curriculum to a variety of Year 11-12 students and have helped numerous students achieve excellent results.
I have a thorough knowledge of grade descriptors and assessment requirements as well as differentiating Curriculum to various student needs. I can help students who are struggling with retention of Human Biology content to develop effective study skills and break down difficult content. I can also help you to understand what you need to specifically target to improve your current grade.

Tutoring sessions on specific content/units of study will primarily run as personalised one-on-one lessons. I can also provide help with homework, exam revision and assignments. Students will be given a free 20min consultation which will discuss results of a pre-test (e-mailed out prior to first session), areas of concern and study skills.
Tutoring sessions focused on units of study will follow traditional lesson format and are flexible and adaptive to your individual needs. You tell me what you'd like to focus on and I will build a personalised lesson for you that will help you build your knowledge in areas of weakness.
Sessions can range from 45-90mins.
Serviced offered include: Yr 11-12 Human Biology tutoring and Science Assessment Proof Reading.
I am also able to offer tutoring to General Mathematics students (Mathematics Essentials).
