About Deepali

I have been tutoring English and math for over 7 years, and I absolutely love it. I have helped students aged four through 20 through private tutoring, group tutoring, and teaching classes in schools. During the first session, I will conduct an initial diagnostic test and learn more about what your learning goals are. I will then create a personalized lesson plan to help you achieve your goals.

Helping a student master a challenging concept, and seeing the joy their success brings them, is what I strive for as a tutor. I enjoy working with students to help them grow and reach their full potential. Together, we will make the most difficult problems, easy!

I first started teaching math nine years ago in high school to my peers and younger students after school. I started tutoring in English and ESL five years ago in a preschool, fourth-grade, and fifth-grade class. I have experience in private tutoring, group tutoring, and teaching a classroom.

About the lesson

I ask the student and their guardian what their goals are for the school year, what concepts/subjects they'd like to work, and what subjects they feel comfortable with. I then start with a diagnostic test to better guage my student's strengths and weaknesses. We review the diagnostic answers together, and talk through the parts the students struggled with, and the concepts they feel confident about. After the diagnostic review, I create a personalized study plan for the student based on their goals and their needs.

I have worked with students ages 3 - 20, and ESL students. I have taught math, English, handwriting, Spanish and German.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
1. What are your learning goals and objectives for this particular subject?

2. What are some of the biggest challenges you are facing when it comes to this subject?

3. How do you envision your teacher helping you in this subject? What can the teacher do that you feel would help you the most?

She was very thorough and made me really think about how I would come up with an answer. Very friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. Her tutoring improved my confidence in math and now, I'm excited about the subject! Highly recommend.

Deepali was a joy to work with—she was prepared and professional, and did an excellent job simplifying complex topics. I would recommend her to literally anyone looking for a quality tutor for a fair price, but honestly she could charge more and I’d still come to her due to her skills and teaching abilities.
