About Emily

I am very patient and knowledgeable. I love to learn knew things as well as share what I learned with others. I like to make learning fun and come up with creative activities for us to practice our skills.

I'm very friendly and love to connect with my students. I found that connecting with my students causes them to be more engaged and more comfortable to ask questions.

I am a straight As student who takes all honors/AP classes. I've won numerous academic awards, such as an Excellence in Italian Award and being in the top 10 of my class.

What I love the most about tutoring is the confidence that I see in my students when they get an answer right and/or they walk out of my session feeling on top of the world. What I enjoy is that I show my students that everything they need to succeed is right inside of them. I help them pull out those skills and develop healthy work habits/tools to prepare them for when they are without my support (in the classroom).

I also enjoy getting to know my students and providing them with support/advice for their everyday lives and handling issues that life throws at them. I love having my students know I'm there for them and that it's okay to reach out and ask for help.

I have received an overall average of 95 or higher in all my years in school. I'm a hardworking and conscientious student. I'm in World Language Honors Society, Math Honors Society, and Honors Society. I have taken numerous AP and college courses. 

I also love learning, so, outside of school, I've taken 2 college courses to help me reach my aspiration of a career in marketing and business, in the future.

I have an excellent work ethic, enjoy going the extra mile, and have experience training others and tutoring.

I'd recommend that they first get to know the tutor and do a trial session to see if the tutor is a good fit for them. If the student thinks the tutor is right for them, they can go forward with that tutor. I believe that a connection is more important than expertise because you won't learn from someone that you don't like or doesn't connect with you.

2) What are my study/work habits? Do I procrastinate? How can I establish healthy habits?

3) Are there outside-of-school factors in my life that affect my work and success? Self-doubt, friend issues, etc?
