About Eric
I meet weekly with students to give them 1 on 1 attention and help them fill in potential gaps in their understandings or explain difficult concepts.
I began teaching in high school when I joined the national honor society. Every week, I stayed after school in the library where I would help students do assignments or understand topics ranging from Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics.
I am a ECE PhD student at Carnegie Mellon University. I got BS from Cornell University in ECE with a CS minor. At Cornell, I led a weekly workshop to help engineering freshmen with Multivariable Calculus. Each week I prepared lectures, problem sets and solutions to ensure students able to not only understand the topics but also gain mastery over the material.

When working with a new student, I first identify the topics that they are struggling with or that they would like to learn. Then I will briefly lecture on these topics while incorporating many examples and opportunities for the student to be actively involved and engaged in the lesson. Following this, I will provide a few more challenging problems for the student to attempt on their own.
I have worked with students of all ages. In the past I have taught students in early grade school how to swim at my local boys and girls club. I tutored high schoolers of all grades in the core STEM classes. I have even taught university students ranging from freshmen to first year graduate students multivariable calculus and computer architecture.
