About BRIANNA

I am a passionate teacher that has seen the need for tutoring services in our communities. I am dedicated to helping students succeed to their fulliest potential. I have been a Special education teacher for three years. I have an elementary and special educaiton certification for grades K-6. I have experience teaching reading, writing, and math in grades K-6, with an expertise in grades K-3. I have experience with Fundations/Wilson reading through my current district. I am very passionate about reading education and will be finishing my Masters in Reading from Rowan University this Decemeber.

I have always enjoyed working with children and found myself babysitting and helping children all through high school. After graudating from Rowan, I began applying for jobs in my area. I worked in a Title I school for two years before moving to my current district. I now work with Special Education students who have specific learning disabilities.

I have been a Special Education teacher for 3 years. I have a certification in Elementary and Special Education. I am finishing my Masters in Reading in December of 2022 and will be a certifed Reading Specialist.

About the lesson

When working with a new student, I believe it is important to get to know the student first. Before beginning any tutoring, I like to get any information provided by previous teachers or by parents and completing pre assessments to see where the student currently is. After getting to know the child and their strengths and weaknesses, tutoring will begin based on where the child currently is and where they need to be.

I have worked with General Education students, English language learners and students with all types of disabilities. These disabilities are, but not limited to, a learning disability, communication, autisim, dyslexia, and more.

Based on my certifications and qualifications, my standard pricing system is between $60-$75 per hour. This will also depend on the type of tutoring and frequency needed.
