About Tara

I truly love teaching. I have been in this profession for over 20 years in both England and America. It is one of the things in life that can make my soul smile :-) I have spent most of my teaching years with students, ages 11 to 19. I have had a focus on geography, history, citizenship, and religious studies. I also concentrate on English grammar. I have been both Head of Humanities faculty and Head of Year.

About the lesson

I start with finding out about prior knowledge and then introduce new ideas and information. After this we do a variety of tasks from short answer questions and quizzes to long answer questions and practising exam technique. I always prepare lessons thoroughly so that all students have access to the learning experience.

I have worked with Tara as teachers in the same school. She was a member of my team. She is a very good teacher who always works hard for her students. She ensures that all students make the best progress and nothing is too much effort for her. I have no hesitation in recommending her.

Having worked alongside Tara I can say her attention to detail and professionalism is second to none. Always willing to give extra time to her students to ensure they know what's what. One of Tara's qualities that makes her stand out from the rest is her understanding and committed approach to those that may struggle a little more with their learning. Tara's help and assistance would be an asssest to anyone.
