About Tony
Hello! I am a US-based private tutor, with 5 years of experience in helping high school and university lowerclassmen students find academic success and overcome their unique challenges.
My academic career was based on ability-learning; I went to an academy for middle and high school students, which allowed me to take classes based on demonstrated ability, rather than age or grade level. I graduated from high school at 16, and subsequently enrolled part-time as an electrical engineering student, while I worked part-time as a private tutor.
I strongly believe that anybody can learn anything, especially when they are motivated by their interests and passions. I have faith that regardless of circumstance or ability, any student is capable of flourishing in their program, and I find it personally fulfilling to help in any way I can.

My education philosophy revolves around establishing a solid foundation of theoretical understanding in a subject, before moving on to applying those concepts to assignments. I find it important to inspire and motivate my students' passions for their work, often by drawing parallels between academic and real-world ideas. Typical lesson plans would include both theoretical and practical applications of concepts, motivated by my students' aspirations and interests.
As a high-achieving student, my academic career was varied and well-rounded; though I am currently an engineering student, I have a broad base of knowledge to tutor from, and a passion for both STEM and the humanities.
My tutoring would be appropriate for anybody from middle school to university undergraduate level--I have the most experience with university lowerclassmen.
