About Tim
Social Studies and English degree from the University of East Anglia (1971-74). I have taught English as a foreign and second language in the UK and abroad. I was a teacher of English as a Second Language and English Literature in several private boarding schools in the west of England for many years. Experienced UCAS tutor. Private home tutor to schoolchildren. Supply teacher in Bath (English, Spanish, Science, History, etc.)

My basic approach is humanistic and sensitive, based around the needs of the students and their age, individual learning abilities and learning styles. I feel it is vitally important to build up a friendly and professional rapport to get the best results and make learning an enjoyable and worthwhile experience. I teach all ages and levels, from primary up to and including post-graduate. I expect commitment and hard work and ample preparation between lessons. I can supply references.
