About Thu
Hi! I'm Thu. I'm 18 and about to go into my first year at USYD next year as a Dalyell Scholar.
I recently graduated this year with an ATAR of 96.95 and topped the state in English EAL/D (mark 99/100). Before moving to Australia, I also obtained a 8.0 iELTS score, and willing to offer any help/advice to those who need it.
I'm currently volunteering as a guide at the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia, and also a casual film editor. In my free time, I like to read, explore different genres of music (and mostly swerving back to jazz), and walk around Glebe with Charlie Parker playing the background.
In addition to essential skills to ace your English exam, what you'll get the most out of my lesson is time management, organisation and effective studying methodologies. A personally curated approach to your studies will make things easier, and more enjoyable.

The HSC was to me, more than just a test on academic abilities, it was more an opportunity to develop skills that are essential to post-school life. It was by looking at the bigger picture that I was really able to have a balanced schedule throughout what was advertised to be the "most stressful period of my life". I learn more effectively by explaining content to other people, so throughout Year 11 and 12, I didn't only heckle my friends by making them listen to me blabber on about course content, but ended up tutoring and mentoring some of the students in the years below me. This didn't only include content and notes, but more so, learning strategies and time management methods. A holistic and personally curated approach to learning will make the HSC seems less tedious, and believe me, you may actually enjoy it.
